DR. NGP iTECH – HACKATHON CLUB PRESENTS
SYSTEM OVERVIEW
HACKZEN '26 is an upcoming 24-hour external hackathon organized by the Hackathon Club of Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, taking place from 13–14 October 2026 at the AV-Hall, D-Block.
Designed to take participants from Industry Challenges to Breakthrough Solutions, the event challenges engineering teams to build working prototypes or well-developed ideas within a single day-and-night sprint.
The hackathon is structured around six core themes spanning Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CSE, AI/DS, Civil, and Biomedical Engineering. Together, these themes align with 5 UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Good Health and Well-Being, Quality Education, Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Climate Action.
Open to teams from outside the host institution, HACKZEN '26 invites participants to review the themes and problem statements in advance and select one problem statement under their chosen theme during registration, before arriving ready to innovate, build, and present.
EVENT FRAMEWORK
Build practical technology solutions for health, water, energy, infrastructure, sustainable communities, and responsible consumption.
Open to students across India. Form multidisciplinary teams of 2–4 and turn a real-world challenge into a working prototype.
Projects are assessed on technical implementation, innovation, social relevance, live demonstration, and user experience.
